Worshipping is to show honor or reverence to something. In my religion, we are instructed not to worship false idols. The reference point was man-made wooden statues.
Wooden idols are but one example of false idols we can worship. Capital accumulation, substances, people, including ourselves, pleasure, are also a few. False idols tend to be made by humans and marketed overtly or subliminally.
There is a saying that a doctor who treats himself has a fool for a patient.
A person who worships false idols is a foolish practitioner.
You should use your time and efforts more wisely.
Wishes for a great day to all,
Hugs too,
David/
